All inclusive for the first time.
Latitude 2018 – we booked this purely for The Killers, a band that goes right back to when we met. Listening to them on an iPod 1st Gen, on a tiny speaker in the kitchen at 1 Newbury Close. Now we see them live.
Jo and Mark have been going to Latitude for a few years now and we have been saying we must go for a long time so about time we kept our word. Only one night, one day, but brilliant. We dropped off BB and Gma and then got there midday put up small tent and headed in to the music area…..20 mins later we were there, tad bigger than Standon Calling. Met Mark at the entrance, coffee then first band.
Very hot, hence Mrs Bear is in Arab garb.
Highlights for me, Vaccines.
Here we go…world cup 2018.
Family draw, sorry Tilly….see video.
Lucky t-shirt…..sun shining, England winning, and looking good. Quite a time, we (family, the country), are all feeling positive. It is coming home…
see draw details…Conor wins in the end.
Just wait until 2022…it is coming home then for sure
May Day weekend and weather hot, plus 2 day Bishops Stortford Music festival.
Started Saturday morning with no 10 Parkrun, 23.43, 10 secs off my PB. Aim to get below 23mins this year.
Headed off to BishBash for 2pm and made traditional festival base camp.

Cold beer, music and lots of sun, what’s not to like. Mabel enjoyed the bouncy stuff. Musical highlights, Among the Citizens, we left for home before the Rolling Clones came on.
Sunday from midday, same again. Good music from Pet Needs, The Muffinheads and finished off with legend that is Wilko. First seen by me in Dr Feelgood around 1976, when Mrs Bear was 3 years old.
We went back to the old Braughing house for a walk to see the bluebells.
Unusual April heatwave, so sun’s out means beer and nibbles out!
