Alice Saturday working, day trip to Cambridge. Lunch at Browns, Egypt exhibition at Fitzwilliam, Catholic Church, Polar Museum. Great day!

First Christmas on our own! Rented a lodge in Weybourne Hall Park.

Five minutes from both the beach and The Ship…😀

Left around 3.00 Christmas Eve arrived in time for dinner in The Maltings

Very Christmassy! Food superb of course. Even shared the cheeseboard with Mrs B and a glass of port.

Christmas Morning

Mabel had big presents earlier, a bike (to be seen later in this post) and a vanity dressing table (under construction at home)

Main present here was a digital camera, much used in the following days.

Bike ride to start the day. Mabel learned to properly ride on this break. Here’s the start…

Then a very windy cold cliff top walk. Past the windmill and church.

Finish with a pint or two in The Ship.

Back for dinner. Game of Taco, Cat, Goat, Cheese, Pizza. No TV though as batteries ran out on the remote!

Boxing Day

Run for me. Walk to S

Annual visit to Llangollen pre Christmas. Sadly Caitlin is not well so will be down on numbers. Arrived late on Friday but the cottage was lovely. 8 Church Street, called Opera Suites.

Walk on the canal Saturday morning. After coffee in Riverbanc.

First Day…..start diaries

Visited hotel Hammam. Scrub, exfoliating and cleansing. Followed by the most amazing massage.

Mabel is enjoying the water slides and tubes.

Day 3 – lorra, lorra rain

More tubes, including me, finally over a rubbish cold bug. Apologies all for general grumpiness!

Walk in to Icmeler. Lunch on jetty. Great food, great view

Day 7 Sunday

Berlin Cabana Day

Fabulous day. Food and drinks brought to cabana. Bubbles at 11.00? Oh yes 😀

Day 8 Monday

Even lazier day. Relax by pool. Short run, first since getting awful Covid like bug. Not great but something. Irritating as the hotel sits right in the bay and there is a paved track for over 8 miles. Would have been perfect if I was healthy.

Al a carte meal in the evening.
