Set up Base Camp early

Weather brill.

We watched the Coronation on TV Saturday. Long and strange. And wet.
However the Sunday was lovely which was fortunate as we had a street party. Plus, more importantly, first time all of Alice’s children were together for a few years.

Conor, Alice and I. Wasn’t a big fan but have to say they were amazing. Great atmosphere.

Squiggy 😀 ❤️….and beautiful

Eating breakfast when who should pop up…my newest granddaughter!
Not been able to speak to Tilly yet, sure she has enough going on. Will leave it to her to let me know the details in her own good time.
Both healthy, that’s the main thing.
Big girl too….9lbs 8oz…blimey oh Riley 😄

May Day bank holiday.
Starts with Saturday children’s party in Harlow. For Robyn. Mabel enjoyed it of course, I found a quiet corner, had coffee, read paper. A win win I would say.
Intended to visit Tilly on way back but traffic and accident’s found us two hours later in a queue outside Stortford. Have to reschedule, really annoying.
Alice had been hard at work in the garden making the most of the new super gazebo space. Looks brilliant, going to be extensively used in the summer,
Sunday, quick and early trip to GY. Back by 3pm. Nags Head for traditional Sunday Indian Buffet. Very tasty but so filling.
May Day tradition Standon. Got there early to drop off Unk Mike so actually managed to get a beer and seat in the Star.
Classic car show as usual. Know you’re old when two of your ex-cars are in the show. Triumph TR7 and Citroen 2CV.
Walked over to old house and bluebell wood.
