WHITE DENIM

First time a Camden Roundhouse. Supported by BC Camplight.

Up by train with Mark, caught the end of BC. Excellent if a tad eccentric and messy.

White Denim at their peak, amazingly tight. 2 hrs….may have been a bit much of you don’t like guitar riff jazz twiddling. As it happens, I do, and loved it.

ELVEDON

Visited Mum on Monday, standard Grayling roast. Mum seems to be holding up OK. Dad has not been there for a while now so she isn’t missing him in the same way as a sudden departure. She is sad.

Getting support fromTony et al, plus Pauline/David. Having minded Dad for so long she is actually wanting to get out.

After lunch off to Eleveden Inn.

DAD 1936-2018

Today my lovely, kind Dad died.

He has been poorly for a long time, dementia is a horrid path. But through it all he never became angry and was amenable, often cheery until the last few months when there was almost no communication.

Tony called by around 7.30 to tell me Dad had gone in to hospital, by ambulance, at 3.00. After dropping off Mabel headed to GY, called Tony and he told me Dad had his support taken off and was passing away right then.

Long drive, in many ways. Sad.

NYE 2018

New Years Eve 2018.

We had plans and gma was going to look after Mabel, but Lola was taken in to hospital. So Alice didn’t want Lola to see the New Year in alone trained up to UCLH for the evening.

Mabel and me in bed for 10.30, woken by the fireworks at midnight and Alice coming in the door. At least no hangovers.

Caitlin at work

Caitlin, not too happy!
